While her descriptions and recollections of her experiences are indicative of some erotic response in the retelling, there is not the intense quality about it that Marie demonstrated.
On the other hand, it was Marie who suffered so much from guilt feelings and desired to rid herself of Lesbian desire. With Jo-Su, there is no concern about either homosexuality or other possibly deviate inclinations. I feel that her early exposures and experiences fixated her sexual responses, but in a natural and accepted manner. She witnessed her mother give suck to her younger sister as well as to the dance master, yet refuse it to her. The childish jealousy thus aroused has certainly played a part in her desire to suck the female breast as well as to suck the "milk" from the male penis in fellatio.

In the instances of Asian prostitutes, I think that the three-way response is often more cultivated during the rearing of the girl for prostitutional work by the parents, vice lords and their helpers. In America and Europe, the prevalency of prostitutes agreeing to anal intercourse is not so great, and in the cases of those who do, there is often no pleasure involved for the female.
These differences in the development of three-way sensitivity for contact and penetration by the female are quite interesting considerations for study. And this involves the attitude, and the environment from which the female comes. A girl like Jo-Su who was raised in an environment where prostitution was a completely accepted way of life, where all forms of sex were thought to be both pleasurable and profitable, could hardly be expected to think there was anything wrong about what she was doing. She is not so much immoral as amoral if we look at her situation according to Judeo-Christian standards of the West.
And if we do this, we must also conclude, I think, that her foreign clients (those from Europe and America) were immoral, according to their own codes of conduct.
Thus Marie (from the previous example) probably reacted negatively to the moral code she knew and found something of "the attractiveness of evil" in her behavior due to repression, while Jo-Su suffered no such "hang-ups."
