Conclusion
Poor Mona had had a striking experience of masochistic submission to a sadistic master. I told her that she had parts in her personality that craved this cruel sort of treatment. That it had probably originated from a male parent who had treated her badly at a time when she was growing up. And that, part of her craved for that treatment, since it came from her father, and that she had obscure impulses of sexual feelings toward her father that she never quite admitted openly to herself.
And that this man Frank, had been recognized by her, at the bar, as having the same cruel streak that existed in her father. She responded to it. Just as Frank had been aware, at the bar, that her submissiveness craved a master relationship. They recognized that they needed each other for the sex and the behavior they unconsciously craved.
That Frank knew, from the beginning, she would make some provocative comment that would justify him in abusing her.
And she knew, from the beginning, that he had elements of sadism that would be sparked by something she would do.
And they would together climax in a sexual embrace of terrifying intensity.
I told her, then, that she would need deep therapy to understand the strain in her that desired her own humiliation. And that it would take a long time for her to understand it. But that with my help, she would not necessarily have to search out men like Frank to find sexual fulfillment for herself.
