Conclusion
On the face of it, incest is deemed by the majority of people in our society to be one of the most taboo of all sexual experiences. However, I felt that in the case of young Janet and her father, the actual, initial act of intercourse may have done much more good than harm. It allowed them to break an impasse in their relationship and to show their love for one another in a basic, very gut-level way.
However, I was a bit concerned over the course the relationship had taken since then. It seemed to me that it would be much better if Janet and her father broke off their sexual entanglement before it got out of line. I suggested to hex that they talk about it together. If she were too shy or afraid to broach the subject, then I could possibly act as a mediator between father and daughter.
I told Janet that it would be a good idea for her and her father to come in for joint counseling. She thought it would be an excellent idea and asked me if I would set up an appointment.
