Introduction

In the hands of today's violent teenagers sex is becoming both a tool and a weapon. It is used by today's sexual renegades to punish their victims for what they feel are justifiable offenses. In the hands of today's rebellious youth crime and sex are running rampant in the streets. The prime target becomes ordinary citizens who are completely unknown to the sexual molesters who often travel in organized 'gangs' to exploit the unsuspecting female populace.

We are all familiar with the violent, often bizarre crimes that are becoming a "pattern" in our society. The plural ritualistic murders committed by the "Manson" family stands as the most shocking example of mob action carried out by rebellious youth against more established members of society.

Not every murder or incident of sexual brutality makes front page headlines. But in every city and town, incidents of teen-age violence can be glimpsed somewhere almost nightly. These insecure adolescents, these hostile attackers, often use SEX as an instrument of punishment, inflicting cruel atrocities upon their victims, and deriving an intense sadistic thrill from committing every known perversion imaginable.

Women and young girls are prime targets for teen-age lust crimes. In many cases, however, males are victimized if they happen to be in the vicinity of the sex crime. Not all crimes are heterosexual; many are indeed homosexual. In many cases the victims are sexually assaulted then mutilated and murdered.

The shocking fact is that these crimes are becoming all too common. Motorcycle clubs demand new initiates rape young girl as their initiation ritual.

In my own vicinity a recent murder involved three hippie-type motorcycle initiates who raped, mutilated and then murdered sixteen year old Deborah Hawley and her sixteen year old boyfriend David Doyle. The full details of this crime have not been made public as it has not yet come to trial but what is evident is that the murderers were so carried away by the thrill of their gross atrocities that they found it necessary to record their sanguine thrills on film.

In THE ANIMAL LOVERS, by J. Rupert Rosenfeld, Dr. Fredric Wertham, a well-known psychiatrist notes . . .

"Younger and younger children commit more and more serious and violent acts. But even psychopathic children did not act like this twenty-five years ago."

Sadism and rape are becoming integral parts of the sexual attack. Youths who would lack the courage to commit such offenses individually are banding together in groups, more commonly known as 'gangs'. They are molesting innocent individuals on a scale that is drawing national attention from police, ministers and psychiatrists world-wide.

In GIRL GANGS Barbara Hoffman notes . . .

"The desire for sexual violence, of course, is not new . . . What is new is our great appetite for the expression of this taboo behavior. And there is something else that is also new within our ultra-modern society; the gathering together of people in small, exclusive sub-societies for the purpose of violating the sexual taboos of mankind, among them which are the gangs who rape, murder, mutilate, commit the gross kind of indecencies for the sole purpose of satisfying their sexual desires."

The groups of teenagers exploiting helpless individuals organize themselves into 'gangs'. During this study of sexual offenses committed by adolescents in group form we will refer to such individuals as the GANG BANGERS!

In the following pages the reader will meet the victims of these sexual criminals and learn some of the motivations and activities of those who prowl the streets looking for innocent and attractive victims whom they may shock with their gross physical lusts.

This is the story of the GANG BANGERS. This is the confession of those who have found themselves intricately wrapped in the sadistic chain of events perpetuated by the attackers. Many victims of the GANG BANGERS were too shocked and frightened to tell their stories to the police. Sometimes only a qualified analyst hears these most intimate confessions of violation. Sometimes it is the analyst who is best suited to handle the after-effects of such crimes.

Within this volume you will find a few of the cases of gang rape which have come to my attention. Because the popularity of such crimes is world-wide the reader may find such crimes common in his own locale. This is the intimate and sometimes shocking story of the GANG BANGERS and their victims.
