Chapter 7
Right outside of Meadowbrook, in a small hilly area of Ohio, known as Sunrise, there existed a whole group of large estates. Some of the wealthiest people in the U.S. had their private homes there, but because of their continually traveling around, they also had condominiums in other parts of the country, so that everyone believed these wealthy people lived anywhere but Ohio.
At the eastern edge of Sunrise was the newest estate, the one belonging to Roger Starr. He had put a down payment on it with his bonus. The total cost of the estate was something like five million, and Roger would have a thirty year mortgage to pay out. The hundred thousand dollar down payment, plus his fantastic credit references had been enough to get him the estate. Had this same estate been located in Hollywood, he would have had to pay three times as much for it.
The estate was surrounded with an eight-foot-high wrought iron fence that had electrified barbed wire on top. Other electric eyes monitored the entire area, keeping unwated people out, and equally important, keeping other people in.
This was the place to which Roger took Andrea and Gaby. I'll show you all the controls on the estate, and how to make sure none of the other women overpowers you at any time."
"No one's going to overpower me," Gaby replied. "When I went into my present occupation, one of my first tricks was the head of a martial arts school, and instead of money, he paid me in lessons. I'm a black belt in Tae-kwon-do."
"Well then, you're an asset in any man's home," Roger smiled.
"You know," Gaby said to him, "what we did in the motel, that was hardly what you'd call a decent workout. I mean, the two of us ought to get together for a prolonged period of foreplay. I'm willing to bet I can make you come at least five times in a single night."
"You'll have your opportunity, when the time is right," Roger assured her, and then his eyes began getting that insane glaze again, as he said, "but first, I have other matters which need attending. Hopefully, by the time I report to work, all my business will be settled, and you and I can speak more frankly about a future."
"Are you sure you want a future with a whore?" Gaby asked.
"Didn't you know," Roger smiled. "Whores make the best wives. They've had their fling. Even the ones who enjoy sex, and I assume you're one of them, feel that when the time comes, they'll be able to settle down with just one man, if he's the right man."
"Roger, don't make any promises," Gaby insisted. "If you do, I'd be expecting something. Please, I'd just as soon not expect something and then discover it will happen, if you follow my meaning."
"You're the proverbial whore with a heart of gold, Gaby," he told her. "I'm sorry that you had to earn your living in life this way, but believe me, it never once made me think of you as being any less of a person. I respect you more than any woman I know, with the possible exception of my mother."
"Well, that's enough praise to keep me happy for just about the rest of my life, even if nothing else ever happens," she smiled.
"Andrea's still unconscious," he said. 'The drug I gave her should wear off, shortly. Take care. I'll be back as soon as possible."
