Introduction
In many primitive tribes it is a common practice for the older men of the tribe to make love with their nubile daughters during the initial rites of puberty. Obviously, to the mind of Western Civilization such a practice is intolerable and thus not allowed to exist.
But what is intolerable, whether for religious or social reasons, does many times exist in the undercurrent of behavior that is out of the reach of the long arm of moral controls. Incest between a father and his daughter is one of these forbidden acts that does occur with a startling amount of frequency beneath the surface of acceptable behavior.
The Twentieth Century has brought mankind to the edge of space and to the depths of the oceans; but it has also opened the doors to our own passions and desires. We have taken a good, long look into ourselves and we have discovered that we are not as pure and noble of heart as we once thought. We have seen that within ourselves lurks darkness, a strange and unyielding force that many times results in behavior which is abhorrent to our conscious minds yet desired with tremendous force by our subconscious.
In this volume of case histories, we shall examine numerous situations in which the subconscious desires were allowed to emerge into the reality of actions. We shall examine the conditions and environments under which these acts of coupling between a father and his daughter occurred and we shall, if possible, establish the relationships between environments and the act itself.
Using first-hand testimony as told to myself and my tape recorder by the fathers and girls involved, we shall spare no detail no matter how intimate in our attempt to dig through the surface and come up with a grain of truth. All of these testimonies will lend some insight into the relationship between a father and his daughter and each one will, hopefully, illustrate the circumstances which seem to add to the motivation of the participants.
It is hoped that through the study of the cases included in this volume the reader will further advance his understanding of human sexuality. And that through that advancement he will then realize the connection between our sexual drives and motivations and those universal desires and needs that affect us all.
