Publisher'S Foreword
For the first time since the beginning of the American Experiment, youth holds a majority over the general citizenry of the United States. Constitutional change, as much as activist protest, has shoved youth to the fore. Personally, the publisher thinks it is good that youth can now put its vote where its mouth has often been; shouting for reform, denouncing reactionarism, pleading the cause of the underdog. But the prominence of youth is a little "old hat" in terms of the behavioral sciences, the discipline upon which the Cameo Sex Reality Series is dependent. Young people have set the tone of sex practices for a very long time. They still do. They will tomorrow. They will during all future decades, too. And, as we review case history accounts of young sex practices in this report, it is important for us to remember that what is happening in the youth society affects the adult society, too.
And what is happening-what are the sex practices of the young that are different from the patterns of previous generations? Many things. Many sexual variations that were undreamed of a few short decades ago, including: Mate Swapping Group Sex Fellatio Cunnilingus Mammary Intercourse Mutual Masturbation....and other acts which seem supremely sophisticated for boys and girls in their teen years.
And how might these sex practices alter adult behavior? In a variety of ways, according to a psychologist who was consulted on the text of this report. This is what he had to say: "Youth has become synonymous with rebellion, change, nonconformity. Largely, the adult population sits back and watches, criticizes, complains, and thinks how different it was when they were young. It was indeed different, we must agree. Today's youth generation has created a life style, particularly in sexual areas, that is more rebellious than any previous generation would have dared. And by living their sexual revolution they are arousing adult curiosity, making the middle-aged American wonder if perhaps he has been missing something. And so a habitual practice of sexual variations by the young, and the publicity which is accorded these different life styles, will, I believe, make adults less disinclined to practice, at least in part, the same sexually free life styles. And youth will have been the social motivator of this change."
It will be interesting to see the sexual developments within our society during the next few years. We might speculate upon them as we read the case history presentations in this report.
