General Conclusion
I cannot imagine anything more brutal than an enema rape, and I feel that the patients in this particular study have all confirmed this attitude. There are too many enema enthusiasts who are still in the closet, afraid to come out and face up to this need of theirs. They are usually the people who will strike out on an unwilling victim.
Carl Smith, the policeman and Merrily's interview is the perfect example of a closet enema case, so much so that he pretended to be in pursuit of the evil enema rapist when he, himself, was the man. From Merrily's interview, it seemed as if Officer Smith put down people who used enemas.
I think this is the attitude among most of the enema enthusiasts. They tend to put themselves down, and in doing so, make their fetish seem uglier than it is. They put it down and hear other people put it down, so they cannot come out of the closet and confess that they like enemas.
As a result, more and more young girls are attacked and the statistics on enema rapes show that they have doubled in a year.
Sometimes, it can be easier for the victim to come to grips with what happened, and the girls who did in this book seem to be those who were mature to begin with. Then there are those like Judy who knew the man who raped her (her teacher, in fact) and had been having intercourse with him steadily. It's much easier for a girl like Judy to come to grips with what happened to her because she can talk with her teacher and find out why he had such a need.
