Chapter 11
The Secret Dream World of the Female Peeper
It is true that one hardly hears of the voyeuse or the Peeping Jane.
But as the case histories of this volume point out, they most certainly are in our midst and they do present a sexual problem to themselves and to others in their midst.
It is true that proportionately few females find the genitalia of the sex object physically attractive or sensually stimulating to any alarming degree. They are different from males who are very definitely stimulated by external exposure of genitalia-their own and others!
But then, a great portion of the female population is ever as initially aroused in or attracted by raw sex appeal as the average male.
Among the one-third of the females who are as sexually receptive as the male, there are a great number who receive at least some stimulation from observing others undressing, in the nude, or engaged in abnormal or even normal sexual acts.
The voyeuse, like her male counterpart, the voyeur, often masturbates while observing people nude, semi-nude or in intercourse and fornication.
She may also receive pleasure from looking at erotic photographs and films.
This researcher only recently noticed a young woman in her middle twenties masturbating herself while watching an adults-only underground type film in a New York City theatre during a torrid spanking-whipping lesbian scene. It depicted one naked girl spanking another girl's bottom while the latter was sucking on the insides of her thighs.
The cunnilingus was apparent.
The young woman was a voyeuse and became sexually stimulated while watching the film.
One reason why so little is heard of the female Peeping Jane is that she appears to stay out of trouble far easier than the Peeping Tom.
Few officers will arrest a woman who looks in windows unless she is actually trespassing on private property or committing some obvious offense.
In a rooming house or hotel, or even a restroom, hardly any male is going to lodge a complaint that a female was peeping at him while he was exposed or nude.
In fact, if the average man knew about it, he might even enjoy it!
The urge to peep, rather than participate, in sexual acts, is frequently prompted by a personality problem which makes it difficult to communicate with other human beings in a normal way.
The female exhibitionist cannot communicate normally, so she shocks the other person into recognizing her sexuality.
The voyeuse fears becoming involved at all-prefers to live in her own dream world of self-created sex.
The voyeuse is not necessarily a compulsive masturbator, as noted in the case histories of this documentary, but she will resort to this method if the peeped scene is sufficiently erotic.
If the sight is unusually erotic, the Peeping Jane may even achieve a clitorid-climax without manipulating her genitalia.
Where the Peeping Jane is much like the masturbator is in the dream illusions which she creates as we have seen in these various case histories.
The Peeping Jane may watch a couple at a drive-in movie petting heavily, and then dream-imagine all types of erotica between them.
The whole conception of sex then becomes IDEAL instead of REAL. This is the dream-illusion that the Peeping Jane conjures and it is the dream-illusion in which she escapes from the responsibilities of normal sex.
When the moment does arrive, as it almost inevitably will, that the Peeping Jane does participate in normal sex relations, she is frequently disappointed by reality.
