Foreword
In our culture, adolescence can very often be the time of confusion, awkwardness, and self-doubt. A young girl or boy reaches a point at which he begins to question the actions of those around him and to compare himself with his peers. This can involve all areas of his development, including social, sexual, mental and emotional.
Frequently though, a young person finds that friends his own age are even more bewildered than he is, and much too wrapped up in their own problems to be of assistance.
In some cases, a sympathetic adult, perhaps a teacher or relative, is able to help. This can take many forms, but the greater experience and knowledge of the older person is always an essential ingredient in the process.
AUNTIE'S HOT SURPRISE is a fictional account of a perplexed teenager, Timmy and his Aunt Beth, and of their surprising, but not altogether unique approach to this dilemma.
