Foreword

Greed. Revenge. Traits which are present to some extent in every person. They are often the motivating forces behind the obtainment of great wealth or power. They also can lead to a person's downfall. The politician who allows greed to overcome good sense and is caught with his hand in the public till. The woman whose burning desire for revenge overrides everything else, including consideration for her family and herself.

THE RAPERS is a story of people caught in a tangled web woven from the desire for revenge, and greed. No degradation is too shameful, no act too foul, to stop them from their headlong rush to self-destruction. And, as is sometimes the case, it is the innocent who suffer, the ones who are used shamelessly to further someone else's selfish ends.

There is a lesson to be learned here. It is forgiveness, not revenge, that brings satisfaction to the soul. It is love, not hate, that brings final happiness. It is a lesson that society would do well to heed.
