Introduction

Sandra is a real person, a painfully real one with a terrible problem, a gnawing demanding masochism, one which drives her into depths of debasement, humiliation and pain. Only during such bouts can she experience any real sexual gratification.

During these sessions, she achieves orgasm after orgasm, each producing sheer ecstasy, but later, when she recalls what happened, she is consumed with guilt and shame.

She had repeatedly tried to get professional aid but each time, after one or two visits, she becomes too ashamed to face the doctor again and gives up trying.

Sandra's story is worth being told and told as honestly and accurately as possible, because there are many Sandras in the world. Not all must go to the same desperate lengths to achieve pleasure, some perhaps go farther.

Some masochists are truly happy with their way of sexual life, others, like Sandra, enjoy it only when wallowing in masochism and after each bout, are filled with shame, regret and despair.

In this work we shall not be able to cover all aspects of physical masochism, but we shall cover many. As always, my motivation in producing this work is to contribute to a greater understanding of our fellow creatures.

I ask the reader to keep this in mind in reading this book, to consider that Sandra appears in many forms in many women and men of the world. They need the understanding of those with whom they come in daily contact, but as is so often the case, it is those most in need of understanding who are least likely to receive it.

In this, I am reminded of my bartender friend Tony who, in his plea for greater understanding, has been heard to quip, "take a masochist to the woodshed."

I propose to use in this book the language used by Sandra in telling her story. For this I make no apology and trust that my readers will expect none.
