Foreword

College is supposed to be the most formative period in a young person's life. And this may very well be true. Unfortunately, there is a lot of loose information that is produced by the college situation that may have an unexpected and lasting effect on the student's life-an effect that may be totally unwanted.

This is a harsh novel about sexuality in college-even more, about the real desires and reactions of people in the college environment. Strip the gloss and tinsel of what is expected out of college and what is left is the fact that college teachers are human beings with the same perverted drives as the rest of society.

Perhaps the reader will be surprised by the revelations in this book. He shouldn't be. Human beings will be human. The shocking thing is the total lack of reality in assessing the human condition for what it really is.

The adult novel is one of the few contacts with social and human reality left to many people. Television can hardly be accused of presenting a pertinent view of society-even in its documentaries. Radio has abandoned itself to music fads, and most other book publishers deal in esoteric daydreams that are close to mental masturbation. The adult novel presents as entertainment the basic blocks of human life. Perhaps there is distortion, but no more so than in a cops and robber drama on the big screen. Sex must be faced, just as society must face murder, marriage and the ministry and make sense of each of these institutions for itself.
