Foreword
Auschwaitz-Dachau. Almost everyone in the world knows of the horrors of the Nazi death camps in which 6 million Jews perished during World War II.
But most people have heard of these horrors in only general terms. And, of course, the details of torture that filtered out of the Nuremberg Trials of Nazi war criminals.
Probably, stories of individual agony and acts of degradation will never be recounted in any detail. But the true acts of a despicable nature were those inflicted on the hapless victims of the war.
Terrible acts of experimental surgery were performed on the people of Europe. Also, the Nazis subjected countless people to tests of various drugs.
The most despicable acts of degradation were those committed against the captive populace of both sexes-children not excluded. Homosexual acts were commonplace-especially against young boys. And young girls were victimized by the callous German hordes that swept across Europe.
The following is, at best, a feeble attempt to focus on the travesties visited on individuals. No amount of imagination can hope to touch the depths of degradation and describe the despair innocent people of an infamous period of history.
