Foreword
It is with great pleasure that we, the publishers, present this socially piercing novel of what goes on behind the scenes in the currently booming smoker movie market. It is not always a pleasing view that we, of the other side of the fence, receive when we have the courage to delve into phenomena of this type, but nevertheless, it is necessary that it be written about in order that necessary social steps may be taken to correct existing problems. We, the editors, do not judge whether or not any steps are necessary, we only report what exists, and then, only one small portion of the totality of it is possible to be presented at one time. It is up to the discretion of our readers and their elected representatives to carry on from that point.
In the present novel, all participants in the making of these movies are mature adults and there appears to be no valid objection to this. A man or woman should be able to behave as they like as long as they do no harm to others. The basic objection should lie in the realm of recruiting minors for these smoker movie projects as has been outlawed in all the Scandinavian countries. They, after all, have not yet had the benefit of the experience necessary to make a valid judgment as to what they want to do with their lives. But again, as stated above, we, the publishers, do not set ourselves up as moral judges of any man. This is a matter that is up to each individual person and is supposedly what this great country of ours is all about. The basic freedom to choose and express one's own views on any subject, no matter how controversial....
