Foreword

Incest has been with man since time immemorial. True, scientific evidence has proven it is genetically unsound for immediate members of a family to have intercourse, yet there are places in the world where incest is still common.

The religious sect in this book is purely fictional, though it could be real. As for fathers sleeping with their daughters, hundreds of newspaper accounts every year report on male parents being arrested for molesting their own children. And how many other molestations take place that aren't reported?

This book doesn't condone incest. On the contrary, it shows the intent desire of the heroine to avoid it at all costs. At the same time she also wishes to avoid intimate relationship with others for whom she has no feeling.

One of the things this book does emphasize is the importance of everyone receiving a proper sex education. Without it, young girls can be turned into frigid, frightened females with no desire to procreate. Since sex is fairly inevitable, and since it is a constant, why shouldn't everyone be taught to enjoy it when it does happen, as long as it happens willingly. Antiquated laws have ruined the mental outlook of literally hundreds of thousands of females in this country alone, not to mention how many others abroad. The heroine in this book is fortunate in that she found someone gentle and patient and loving. But how many women marry men who expect their wives to be both, virgins and knowledgeable? It is to prevent future tragedies that a more open approach should be taken in teaching this subject.
