Epilogue

It was only forty minutes after the incredible finale to the evening's events had occurred. Some of the men had collapsed completely from their extreme over-indulgence in the marijuana, but a few of them were merely resting, waiting for another chance to subject the two hapless couples to another round of lust and humiliation.

Buz and Mac had both collapsed in the van and were both in a deep stupor from their incredible sexual gymnastics. The only member of the group who was really up and about was Red, who had put his clothes on and was stumbling around in the desert about fifteen hundred feet from the van. Red was just as stoned as the other men, and he had gotten the idea in his head that he had seen a light in the sky and had stumbled out in the darkness towards what he thought he had seen.

He wasn't too far from the van; he could see its lights which were still on. He stumbled over something, and discovered by starlight that he had tripped over a railroad track.

"Somabitch!" he said. "Puttin these fuckin things in the middle of the desert! No fuckin' trains come out in this hell-hole!"

Then he saw it: off in the distance. A light! A small, thin point that seemed to be moving from side to side.

In his freaked out state, Red could only reach one conclusion.

"Hey, Godamit!" he yelled as he raced and stumbled towards the van, "It's a godamn flying saucer!"

As he dashed into the van area, Red yelled and screamed, waking up everyone who was asleep, including the two couples and Mac and Buz.

Mac and Buz jumped from the van-bed and slipped on their jeans.

"What the fuck's going on!" Buz commanded.

"Lookie!" Red said. "It's closer! We've been invaded! It's a flying saucer!"

"SHUT UP!" Mac said to quell the increasing clamor emanating from the group of men. "Shhh! Listen!"

Mac heard the high-pitched whine and recognized it exactly for what it was; the mechanical drone of a helicopter!"

"Aw, Christ!" he said. "Quick someone turn those lights off! That's no space ship, it's probably a flying pig!"

One of the men flicked off the lights. When this occurred, a brilliant burst of light covered the entire area. The men covered their eyes with their hands as they were blinded by the powerful searchlight from the state patrol helicopter.

"All of you!" a metallic, ubiquitous voice boomed from the sky. "Remain where you are! We are state police! We have firearms and will not hesitate to use them!"

The men listened to the metal and glass bird as it landed in the sand. Three gun toting troopers with flashlights and guns examined the group.

"Hey, look at that!" one of the troopers said as he stepped in from of the micro-bus to examine the marijuana which the men had dropped there over an hour ago!

"Why you stupid sons of bitches!" Buz bellowed at his men. "You dumb fuck-ups!"

"QUIET!" a gray-haired trooper said.

The gray-haired man moved towards the back of the van while his two deputies kept their guns steadily aimed at Mac and his men. He discovered Alicia and Toni, each of them holding blankets around their still naked bodies.

Alicia immediately recognized the gray-haired men for what he was and snapped to her senses as best she could.

"Holy Christ!" the gray-haired man said. "What the hell happened here?"

"It's a long story, officer," Alicia said. "We're not with those men out there. Our car's over at the rest stop. Those men, they . . . "

"I believe you honey," the man said. "Don't worry about it now, you can tell me later. These men are your husbands?"

"Yes."

"O.K. You folks get some clothes on and we'll get you back to your car. You'll have to come into town and make a statement you know."

"Fine," Alicia said. "Anything."

"Well, pals," the man said as he turned to Mac and his men. "You fellas been having a real ball along the interstate, screwing whatever you could whether they wanted it or not, right?"

Mac did not say a word; he knew the trooper was right. His mind flashed back to the last four nights; they had been very similar to this one.

"Well, we'll get you on that eventually," the officer said, "but, just for starters, you got enough dope there to lock you up for a long time!"

As Alicia watched the deputies handcuff Buz and his men and radio for extra help, she felt as though she were awakening from a dream. God! She wished it could have been a dream, then she could forget about it. But she could never, would never forget this night as long as she lived. The two couples stared off into the starlit sky.
