Chapter 7

Shep slept soundly and was up bright and early the next morning. He had breakfast at the coffee shop, but luckily the place was so crowded that Jeanie was too busy to spend any time with him. She had to content herself with throwing him moony looks from time to time. After he had eaten he walked around the town for a while. There wasn't much to see. It was small-town U.S.A. with the usual stores, churches, drive-in food establishments and so on. He had lunch at a hamburger stand and was mobbed by some kids who had seen him play. He signed autographs till his hand was numb, and it started to piss him off the way everyone called him Shep as if they owned him. Which in a way they did, he figured. He was town property.

By one o'clock he was at the ball park, carrying a suitcase for the road trip. The whole team had assembled, ballplayers, coaches, a reporter from the town newspaper, Walter Armstrong, and of course, Helene.

She walked over to him when she saw him. "Have a good time last night?" she asked.

"With whom?" he asked innocently.

"I don't know," she said. "I was just wondering what you did for kicks."

"I, went home and spent a quiet evening by myself."

"And then went out and had dinner with a kid with a long ponytail," she added.

"You have a detective on me?" he asked sarcastically.

"I have my spies," Helene said. "Who was she?"

"Why don't you get some better spies?" he said. "They'll get you her name and address. What did you do last night?"

"I went for a drive."

"Alone?"

"Alone. I didn't feel like company. That's why I didn't wait for you after the game last night. I just got into the car and drove fast."

"Sounds like a cheerful way to spend an evening."

"It was," she said. "I drove at least a hundred miles."

"That must have taken at least fifteen minutes," Shep said.

"Twenty," she said with a smile.

"Slowing down in your old age, huh?"

She ignored his remark. "Then I picked up a cute hitchhiker. He was sixteen. He'd been out on a picnic with some friends and gotten separated from them." She smiled broadly. "He had never had a piece of ass before, and he was really grateful when I dropped him off later. Then I drove home."

Shep stared at her blankly. He knew she had deliberately gone out of her way to tell him about the young hitchhiker. It was her way of getting even with him for spending the evening with another girl, even though he would have spent it with her if she'd been around. He didn't intend to get drawn into the web of Helene's emotions.

"I'm glad you had a good time last night, Helene," he said in a calm voice.

Her eyes sparked. "Aren't you jealous?"

"Am I supposed to be?"

"I ignored you and screwed a perfect stranger. You should be a little annoyed at least."

"Well, I'm not," he said quietly. "Sorry."

"You louse!"

"Get off it, Helene. I don't know what your game is, but I'm not playing it."

"I'll fix you," she hissed. "I'll get even." She was really furious at him.

She stormed away from him. He shrugged. She was a crazy broad, and that's all there was to it. Saturday she had been fine, they got along great, but some weird mood had hit her Sunday and she picked up a hitchhiker and fucked him on the spur of the moment. And now she was pissed at him because he wasn't foaming at the mouth and in a screaming rage about it. Women! He took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

He boarded the wobbly, old, orange bus that must have been built in the year one. The upholstery was frayed and worn, like the rest of the ancient vehicle, and it smelled of stale beer and other unsavory things as well.

Shep took a seat near the rear, next to Cass Herbert, and saw Helene stepping into the bus.

"Does she go on the road trips, too!" he said with surprise.

"Most of them," Cass told him.

"Good God!" Shep exclaimed.

"What's the matter," Cass asked with a grin. "I thought you two were like that." He showed Shep his crossed fingers.

"Maybe I need a vacation from her," Shep said sourly.

"You poor slob," Cass said, with a grin and not a trace of pity in his voice.

Shep settled back into the hard seat as the bus started rumbling toward the highway. Helene was sitting up front talking to the young reporter. He didn't know exactly what she was saying to him, but his face was quite red.

Shep closed his eyes and tried to rest. It was going to be a long trip. Their first stop was the town of Twin Falls, about two hundred miles from here. If Helene were driving and this was her Cadillac, it would be a journey of two hours. But in the beat-up bus, at forty-five miles per hour on the straightaway being top speed, it would be a lot longer.

They bounced, squeaked, and groaned along at the slow pace, and some of the players started a poker game, but he didn't join in. His ears picked up conversations from all over the bus, and they all had one thing in common, women. Nobody talked baseball. That was what they did for a living, and you didn't talk about that. But women, that was a different matter altogether.

They were an unsavory bunch, these teammates of his. Shep was one of the few who had an education. Most of them were high-school graduates, and some hadn't even been through that. He looked around the bus. Everywhere he could see were comic books and those girlie magazines. That was about the limit for them. They grinned at each other and pointed out individual features, in the pictures, that agreed with their idea of a well-stacked broad. Besides being uneducated, they were lousy ballplayers, for the most part, also. Only a few of them were worth a damn on the ball field. A fine bunch, he thought, no brains, no talent, nothing but a deep craving to make out with any woman who'd lay down and spread her legs.

Oh well, who was he to knock it. He went for a good screw as fast as the next guy, but he had two things over them. He was educated, and he could play ball. He would be playing in the majors some day when this same group was still beating their brains out making these jaunts to nowhere.

Cass broke into his thoughts abruptly. "Have you ever been in Twin Falls, Shep?" he asked.

"No," Shep said. "I never even heard of it until I saw it on the league list posted in the locker room."

"It's some place," Cass told him. "The wildest, wide-open town you'd ever want to see."

"Oh yeah? How so?"

"You want it, you can get it there. Anything," he told Shep. "All it takes is money. You'll see what I mean when you get there. It'll really blow you're mind."

"How about the police?" Shep asked.

"They're in on it. Everyone from the mayor on down'has a piece of the action. There's no real industry or farming, and they make up for that with gambling and sex, along with booze and whatnot. You'll see what I mean when we get there."

"You're getting me curious," Shep said with a grin.

"Well," Cass hesitated. "I think we can arrange a little something for you in Twin Falls." He leered. He was one of the married players with a big-breasted wife and four kids, but the expression on his face indicated that he wasn't going to be left out of the fun.

It was six o'clock in the evening when the tired, old bus pulled into the fair town of Twin Falls. The tone of the town was set the moment the bus crossed over the bridge that was the limits of the town. The first thing Shep saw was a saloon, and as the bus went by, two girls came out and waved excitedly at them. They all waved back grinning like kids seeing a jar of candy.

One of the girls looked about fifteen years old, and the other a few years older. They both wore blouses that were open to the midriff and wore no bras beneath. Their ripe young breasts hung out and were completely visible to the hungry eyes staring from the passing bus.

"Looka' them tits!" someone yelled from the front of the bus."

"I'd like to get a mouth full of that," another yelled excitedly.

Cass Herbert jerked a thumb at the girls. "Five bucks a piece," he said. "You can get them both for eight if you like it that way. Welcome to Twin Falls." He was grinning broadly.

There were more sights like that as they passed through the town. Girls in front of bars, leaning out of windows, draped against buildings, lamp posts. Girls, girls, girls, any kind you could think of. Blondes, brunettes, redheads, colored every hue. Black girls, Oriental girls, everything.

Welcome to Twin Falls, Shep repeated to himself.

They were scheduled to stay at the Twin Falls Hotel. It wasn't exactly the Waldorf-Astoria, an old, squat brick building with all the warmth of a jail cell. The lobby was dark and musty, with elderly citizens sitting in the shadows looking as if they had been there for the last twenty years. Dust was everywhere, there was no elevator, two bell hops who had to be almost sixty years old, and bulged out of the stained uniforms.

Shep and Cass Herbert were roommates, and the room they had was just as bad as the rest of this not-so-luxurious establishment. It was an oblong cubicle just wide enough to get two narrow beds side by side. There was a washstand, an armchair, a single bare dangling light bulb surrounded with all sorts of flying creatures. At the window there was a rope mounted to the wall and coiled in a neat circle.

Shep pointed to the rope. "What the hell is this supposed to be?" he asked.

"That? That's your fire escape, man!"

"What?"

"Sure. The fire alarm goes off, and you throw this out the window and shinny down. Don't tell me you've never seen one of these things before."

"Nope."

"I guess you've never stayed at one of these high-class joints," he laughed.

"No. I haven't," he admitted. "I guess I have a lot to learn about this kind of life."

"You sure do," Cass agreed.

They ate in the hotel cafeteria, and got to the ball park a little after seven. The ball park was built like the rest of the town, shoddy. It was two hundred and fifty feet for a home run down the foul lines and four hundred and fifty to center field. It was surrounded with flimsy, jerry-built stands that looked like they might collapse at any moment, and a locker room that stank with the stale smell of old perspiration.

There were about three hundred fans in the stands when they arrived. They don't go for baseball in this town, do they?" Shep said.

"They'll be more here when the game starts," Cass told him. "Ought to be a big crowd here to see you hit. Maybe two thousand or so," he said.

"Wow!" Shep said, his finger circled through the air. "A raging mob," he kidded.

"For Twin Falls, it is," Cass said.

In fact, the ball park did fill up steadily as game time approached. When the game started, the score went to five to four in their favor by the third inning. Shep failed to hit any home runs, even though the fences were so close. Hitting conditions were as bad as he had ever experienced, and he had to settle for a single, a double, and a walk. The game ended with them winning seven to five.

After the game, Shep caught sight of Helene talking to the lanky center fielder of the home team. She glared across at him as though she was deliberately trying to antagonize him. Shep merely smiled at her.

Cass Herbert walked up to him. "You ready to go out and scare up some action?"

"What do you have in mind?" he asked.

"We lined a little private show up," Cass said, grinning from ear to ear. "It's all arranged. It'll cost you a buck."

"What kind of show?"

"Hold off with the questions," Cass said impatiently. "It's worth the buck. Cough up and let's get out of here."

Shep shrugged and fished out a dollar which he handed to Cass.

"Let's go," Cass said, and he started out of the park with Shep trailing behind him.

A group of the other players were waiting outside. Joey Link, Johnny Michaels, Nate Williams, and a pitcher, Phil Lewis were talking excitedly as they huddled in a knot.

"Where'd the others go?" Cass asked.

"They picked up on a little action of their own," Joey Link told him.

"Okay," Cass said after a moment. "Each of you is going to have to come up with another buck. There's only six of us to split costs."

"I'd like to know what I'm paying to see," Shep said.

"You got my word," Cass told him. "It'll be worth the money. I guarantee it."

"Okay," Shep said, and he handed over another dollar.

The rest of the group came up with the other dollar, and they grabbed the first bus that went into town. It was just past ten, and they had a midnight curfew, but obviously nobody was taking it seriously.

Joey Link licked his lean chops. "This ought to be good," he said grinning.

The bus stopped in a dingy plaza that appeared to be the center of town. Shep saw a hotel across the street and figured that was where they would be going. But he was mistaken. They crossed the street and went into the seediest-looking bar Shep had ever seen. He wondered what the hell he had paid Cass for.

The bald-headed barkeep said, "You the ballplayers?"

"That's right," Cass told him.

"Upstairs," he said, and pointed.

They went upstairs, and through a dark corridor. Cass opened the door to a large unpainted room above the bar. A row of beat-up folding chairs stood along the wall, and in front of them were some mattresses. They all piled into the room and took seats along the wall.

"Bring on the broads!" Johnny Michaels howled.

The door opened, but it was only the waitress coming for their order. She was over thirty, tired-looking, and had a fair body that was amply revealed in her skimpy costume. "Hi, fellows," she said. "The girls'U be right up. You want drinks first?"

She went the rounds, taking orders. She made a special point of bending way over in front of each of them, and her breasts strained near the point of spilling out. Cass asked her if he could suck on her tits, and she smiled and told him he would get that later.

She vanished and returned again with the drinks, handed them out, collected, and left again. A few minutes passed and the girls arrived.

There were two of them, and they were a damned-sight younger than the waitress. One was a tall brunette in her late teens, and the other a shorter blonde, a couple of years older. They were both dressed in flimsy negligees that did nothing to hide their ripe, full bodies.

"Hi, fellas," the brunette said, and gave them a wink. "Hey, who's the new one?"

"His name is Shep," Phil Lewis said. "He's the new college slugger that-likes to hit home runs."

The brunette came over and stood in front of Shep. She wavered from side to side in front of him and Shep had plenty of time to check her body thoroughly.

Shep stared at the globes of flesh jiggling through her negligee. He could easily see the rounded breasts, full, pink tipped, a sight that made his mouth water. His eyes went from her breasts, over her tight smooth stomach, to her thighs and the darkened triangular patch of fluff that covered her cunt. She pulled up at the hem of the negligee and spread her legs slightly.

"like it?" she asked teasingly.

"Yeah," Shep managed to mumble.

"We going to be friends?" she asked.

"Sure," he mumbled again. His eyes never left her box.

"My name'-s Aileen," she said sweetly. Her hips rolled seductively.

"Make friends later," Cass shouted. "Let's get on with the show."

"Yeah," Joey chimed in. "Let's get on with it."

Aileen dropped the hem of her negligee and turned to the others. "Sure," her voice was a sexy purr. "Hang onto your seats fellas."

She went to the center of the room and took up a position in front of the blonde girl. They began to embrace.

So that's what he paid to see, Shep thought. He felt a tingling sensation in his prick. He had heard of things like this, but he had never actually seen it before. Not till now. He watched with his eyes fixed rigidly to the two nearly naked girls.

The girls were locked in a tight hug, standing upright in the center of the room, grinding their hips together. They were moving in time to some unheard music, passionately rubbing their bodies together. Their eyes were closed, their bodies tense, and there wasn't a sound in the room except for the heavy breathing of the onlookers.

The girls started stroking each other, and the blonde girl opened the brunette's negligee. Aileen had her back to them and it was hard to see what was going on.

Then her negligee fell away.

Aileen's magnificent nude body came into sight, and she revealed her lovely ass. Two firm globes, a long, sleek and smooth back, set on a pair of perfectly sculptured legs. She was a sight to behold. Slowly she swung around to show the rest of her body to the captivated audience.

She had big, heavy breasts, massive deep-bowled ones that looked like basketballs sprouting from her chest. They hadn't looked that big through her negligee, Shep thought. They were tipped with mouth-watering nipples that stood at attention, and seemed to glow a bright-red in the lighted room.

She stood there long enough for the anxious viewers to get a thorough look and turned to the blonde girl. She reached out and started stripping the flimsy covering from her.

The blonde pretended to resist, but that was all part of the act. She had a phony, horror-stricken expression on her face and backed away. Aileen followed her like an animal stalking its prey.

"Come here, Judy, baby," she chanted. "Come and let Aileen give you a good time."

Judy stopped and Aileen caught her. Judy's body was different from Aileen's. She was six inches shorter, and her breasts were smaller. They were still quite large for her size. Her hips and legs weren't as fine as Aileen's and her ass was not as smooth-looking. Still and all, she was quite exciting to look at.

Naked, the two girls embraced again. Their breasts dueled and crushed together, and their hands grasped at each other's tantalizing asses.

The girls started to breathe heavily, and soon they were panting with desire. Shep felt himself getting excited with them, and a quick glance around showed him that the whole room was caught up in a lustful mood.

The sight of the two girls was more stimulating than he had thought it would be. They were going at each other with a passion. Shep could see everything very clearly, and there was plenty to see.

The blonde's head looked dwarfed by Aileen's huge, melon-sized tits as she kissed at them. She grasped one and lifted it to her mouth. Her head moved busily, and the quiet room filled with the sound of her mouth sucking on the generously sized nipple. His excitement grew with every second that was passing.

Aileen groaned with pleasure, and Judy seemed to be enjoying it also. The girls fell onto the mattress on the floor. They stretched out beside each other, but facing in opposite directions. Judy's head burrowed between Aileen's spread legs, and Aileen did the same to the blonde girl.

They were very noisy as they enjoyed each other. They lapped and sucked at each other's cunts, their mouths fasted tightly to each other and they moaned loudly as they writhed on the mattress.

Shep watched first one head, then the other. His excitement was reaching a peak. He wanted to jump on the mattress with them and stick his aching prick into one of them.

After a while the lovemaking entered the next phase. The two girls swung around and faced each other. They embraced passionately, and adjusted their bodies so that their hairy mounds rubbed. They started moving again. Cunt rubbed against cunt, and their arms locked around each other. They were gripped with passion and it was a strange sight to see.

"Go!" Nate shouted. "Go, go, go!"

The chant was picked up around the room.

"GO! GO! GO!"

Shep was swept up in the wave of lustful demand. Usually he wasn't much for shouting in public, but now the words burst from his mouth in rhythm to each erotic movement of the naked females on the floor in front of him.

"Go!" Shep screamed. "Go! Go! Go!"

The girls responded to the screams of encouragement.

The girls were rolling on the floor now like two wrestlers, their bodies a tangle of arms and legs.

"GO! GO! GO!" went the players.

Shep was pounding his foot on the floor in tempo to his shouts. The room rocked with their chant. The scene was a wild one, six grown men urging two naked girls sprawled before them above a dirty little bar, in a steamy hot room, while they all watched them trying to orgasm.

They were fantastic. Their eyes were glazed with lust, their bodies sparkled with sweat. Then came Judy's shrill voice, out of the tangle of limbs, high and clear, shouting, "Oh, God! That's it. That's what I want! Do it! Do it, Aileen, I need it!! "

Aileen did what was demanded of her.

She did it so well, that in less than a half minute, Judy was making animal-like sounds that culminated with a wild shriek of joy as she climaxed in front of the lust-crazed men. Aileen followed almost immediately with a scream of pleasure that shook the walls of the dingy little room.

The girls fell apart from each other and lay there panting heavily. Both had their eyes closed and a satisfied grin smeared across their faces.

"Okay, boys," Cass said. "Pick a card. Everybody pick a card." His voice was thick with desire, his eyes glazed from the effects of watching the naked girls.

He fanned out the deck in front of the players. Each took a card and when all had drawn, he took one for himself. "Okay, everybody sing out. Joey, what you got?"

"Ten of clubs."

"Johnny?"

"Jack of diamonds."

"Phil?"

"Six of spades, damn it."

"Nate?"

"Deuce of clubs, would you believe it."

"You, Shep?"

Shep grinned. "Ace of spades," he said, and showed the card to prove it.

"You lucky son of a bitch," Cass said with disappointment. "I've got the king of hearts."

"What do I get?" Shep asked.

"First pick," Cass explained. "Then me, Johnny, Joey, Phil, and Nate is last.

Shep didn't need an explanation. Aileen and Judy were busy getting ready for the next step in the evening's entertainment. They had separated the two mattresses and placed them side by side. Then they stretched out on the mattresses, head propped up on fist and elbow, and were waiting anxiously for their first man.

Shep studied the two girls. He wasn't in the habit of doing this pay-the-girl scene. The last time he had done that was when he was sixteen and working at a summer resort. A bunch of the guys that worked there had gone off one night to the local house of ill repute. Shep had joined them.

Which do I want, he wondered? Aileen or Judy?

"I'll take Aileen," Shep said. "For my first round."

He walked over to her.
