Chapter 3
Bonnie lay back on the beach chair, adjusted her sunglasses and relaxed. It was Saturday afternoon and she was enjoying the pool. In between dips she stretched out on the beach-type cot, applied some suntan lotion and tried to keep up a conversation with Kim Clarke. Kim was sprawled on the chair next to her, also getting a suntan.
The two girls had met at the poolside while their husbands had drifted on down to the putting green. Both Pete and Bill were avid golfers. The putting green at the apartment complex was the next best thing to being on a golf course.
Bonnie didn't mind the intrusion by Kim. She'd been lolling in the sun meditating over the events of the previous week's swap party. Her mind was still troubled and she had nightmares every time she thought of Pete sitting on the easy chair with Alison playing with his cock.
For the first time in her year of marriage she began having some misgivings. A tiny seed of doubt had been planted in her mind. Pete had given in so easily to Alison. Could that be a forerunner of things to come? All week long, even while banging away at a typewriter as a secretary, her mind boggled at the thought.
Kim, a lovely blue-eyed blonde of twenty-one, who weighed in at one hundred twenty pounds on a gorgeous five-foot-six curvy shape, took off her sunglasses and grinned down at Bonnie. "What's with you, darling? I've been trying to work up a good conversation and all I'm getting is a bunch of yeas and nays. What're you brooding about?"
Bonnie flushed and turned on her side to face Kim. "I'm sorry. I guess my mind's on something else."
"I think I can guess." Kim cut loose with a grin. "The party last Saturday?"
Bonnie nodded. Needing a girl to confide in, she blurted, "Kim! Why do men do such things? Swap parties? Hah!"
Kim sat on the edge of her beach chair. Reaching over she placed fingers on Bonnie's flushed face. "You poor darling. You must be going through torture, thinking about it. I could tell from the way you left the party you were upset."
"I was." Bonnie sat on the edge of her chair and faced Kim. A troubled frown etched her face. "I just can't figure out why. Pete and I have been married for just one year. I've done everything to please him. Everything. Still he doesn't appear satisfied. Why?"
"Darling, I think it's time you and I had a girl-to-girl talk! Come, we'll go to my apartment." Hopping to her feet, Kim reached for Bonnie and led her to apartment 2A. Once inside, Kim closed the door, poured a round of drinks and led the way to her bedroom. Sitting on the bed, she motioned for Bonnie to sit next to her. Both girls were dressed in very brief bikinis.
Bonnie, sipping at her drink, sat beside the smiling blonde. She liked Kim. The girl was so bubbly, impish and pretty. Kim was built almost exactly like Bonnie with almost the same dimensions and her breasts were equally as large and bouncy as Bonnie's. She smiled and relaxed. "Okay, let's talk."
Kim pushed Bonnie down until she was lying flat on her back on the bed. Kim knelt beside the lovely brown-haired girl and regarded her fixedly. "So, my little teenaged friend is beginning to have doubts about her marriage?"
"Not exactly doubts. I know Pete loves me. What worries me is why he gets this urge to want to mix with other young couples. He keeps bringing up the subject. He claims it isn't right for us to be such stick-in-the-muds. He thinks we should get out more. Go to parties. Pal around with young couples our own age. I keep thinking, who needs it? But he keeps insisting we do." Bonnie blurted out the gist of her problem areas.
Kim ran her fingers through Bonnie's lovely hair. A small smile toyed at the corners of her wide, generous mouth. "I know what you're going through, darling." Her voice was low, throaty. She continued to toy with Bonnie's hair. Her blue eyes were pools of innocence. "It kind of reminds me of my first year of marriage."
"It does?" Bonnie liked the feel of Kim's fingers on her hair and now on her cheeks. Such warm, smooth fingers. Bonnie began heating up from the effects of the drink and the intimate talk in the girl's lovely pink bedroom. She reached out and let her fingers rest on one of Kim's thighs. Kim had creamy-white skin which was so smooth to the touch.
Kim let her fingers wander down to Bonnie's lips. Gently she ran her fingers across Bonnie's lips and chin. A strange light began to glow in Kim's baby-blue eyes. "Bill and I were about the happiest married couple you could ever find," Kim explained softly, moving closer to Bonnie. "At least for the first year. We lived only for each other. We loved only each other. We saturated ourselves with sex. That was the happiest year of my life. We discovered many new ways to pleasure each other." Kim chuckled at the recollection. "I guess we thought we'd discovered paradise, that we were the only ones to know perfect happiness."
"It sounds like Pete and me."
"Yep." Kim laughed wryly. "But after the first year I began to sense a change in Bill. I noticed that he no longer had eyes only for me. In little ways I saw that the perfect marriage I thought we had was beginning to crack apart at the seams. I could see that Bill was human after all ... that he still had eyes for pretty girls. He began to get the itch."
"The itch?"
"To rejoin the world. To come out of our cocoon. To break loose from the magic spell of our own stifling love. To mix with other young couples."
"Hmm." Bonnie drummed fingers on Kim's inner thigh. "And what did you do about it?"
"I tried to discourage Bill's emerging restlessness. I threw myself at him. I tried overwhelming him with sex. I tried every way I could to keep his mind off other girls. For a while it worked. I kept him so pussy-whipped he wouldn't have been able to take on another girl if he'd had a chance. But it was a losing battle. I finally realized that."
"Oh?"
"One night we were invited to a party. Reluctantly I went. It turned out to be a party something like the one at Joy's apartment last week." Kim crinkled her nose and closed her eyes momentarily as the memory of the past event flooded her mind. "There was a cute little brown-haired girl there. Just a kid. Anyway, this girl made a big play for Bill. It wasn't exactly a swap party. Just a gathering of friendly folk. I was dancing, talking, drinking and enjoying myself quite a bit when I suddenly noticed Bill was among the missing."
"I see."
"Naturally, I found him!" Kim grimaced at the memory. "In a bedroom and deeply in the brown-haired girl. Both of them stark-naked! I barged in just about the time they were reaching a climax." Kim shuddered at the thought.
"Some climax." Bonnie clucked her tongue sympathetically. "I ranted. I raved. I slapped him. I slapped her. I was so mad I would've killed them if I'd had a gun in my hand."
"I wouldn't blame you."
"I threatened to divorce him. To leave him. For weeks I barely spoke to him while trying to make up my mind what I wanted to do." Kim shuddered at the memory. "It was the most miserable time I ever lived through."
"But you did live through it. You and Bill are still together. You seem happy enough."
Kim crinkled her nose. "I finally faced up to reality. Bill and I had long talks. We both finally realized we couldn't shut each other off from the world about us. Things were happening too fast. The morals were changing. Old ideas were outmoded. We both confessed we were attracted to other men and women. I like the way men look at me. I like being fussed over by other men. Bill-likes to look at other girls. He-likes to cozy up to them. Make love to them."
"But you're married!" Bonnie was shocked. "You shouldn't think such things, or do such things!"
Kim shrugged. "How right you are, darling, but let's face facts. Almost everyone does those things nowadays. Once the bloom of the honeymoon is over, the majority of married couples start looking and yearning."
"They do?"
"Believe me, darling, they do!" Kim let her fingers slide along Bonnie's throat, down to her shoulders, down to her breasts. Casually Kim ran her fingers across the top of Bonnie's bra. "Bill and I finally reached an agreement."
Bonnie snuggled closer to Kim to allow Kim's fingers more working room around her breasts. She enjoyed the feel of Kim's warm hand on her skin. "An agreement?" Bonnie let her fingers slide farther up Kim's lovely inner thighs. Kim had such tender, smooth skin. It felt so nice.
"We decided to become swappers-take on other mates. Enjoy some extracurricular sex. We both reasoned we were only interested in the sex act as such with other couples-the mere physical act of satisfying a lust. We both figured this wouldn't affect our real love for each other. It seemed to be the only way out for us."
"And it works?" Bonnie stared in awe.
"For us it does." Kim smiled. "I'm not the least bit jealous of Bill any more. I can watch him making love to other girls and it doesn't bother me one bit. I make love to other men with him watching and really enjoy myself. We both know it's just a physical act of the moment, with no emotional involvement."
"But do you still love each other? Really? I mean like the all-out love a husband and wife should have for each other?"
Kim sighed. "Truthfully, it's not the same as that first year of our marriage. We were so wrapped up in each other. On the other hand, it is working out quite well for us. We're still living together. We have this nice apartment. We both work. We're well off. We still go to bed together. We still have sex. We still love each other. I guess you might say it's working out fine, though there are times I wish I could turn back the clock and relive that first glorious year of marriage over and over again."
Bonnie lay back on the bed and stared up at her friend. Her thoughts raced. This lovely girl and her husband committed adultery openly. They shared other beds with other girls and boys. They enjoyed the sex acts with strangers. Yet, they continued to live together as man and wife.
Kim eased forward and pressed her lips against Bonnie's in a tender kiss. She slid her fingers under Bonnie's bra and fondled Bonnie's solid titties. A lustful gleam came to Kim's eyes. She whispered, "I've learned all kinds of love the past few years, darling. I've had so many other lovers..." Her voice trailed off as she pressed her lips to Bonnie's again and again. Tender, loving kisses.
Bonnie frowned. Kim was acting oddly. Not that she didn't enjoy Kim's kisses and fondling fingers. It tended to heat her up. But somehow Kim seemed to be getting away from the subject at hand. "Are you suggesting that Pete and I become swappers?"
Kim's groping fingers found and squeezed one of Bonnie's big tits. "I'm suggesting you give it a try, darling. There will be more scenes like last week at Joy's. Pete is a restless soul. He's got the itch. He isn't about to be talked, or loved out of it by you. You're going to have to face up to reality-or stand a chance of losing Pete!" Kim emphasized her point by kissing Bonnie tenderly and lustfully. She let her fingers dart downward and slide under Bonnie's bikini bottom.
Bonnie lay passively. She felt herself heating up. Her mind was whirling. Kim's words shocked her.
Her actions thrilled her. What was Kim trying to do? Bonnie gulped in astonishment when she felt Kim's groping fingers stroking her cunt. She stared in disbelief. "Kim!"
Kim's eyes were now torrid pools of lust. "You darling, you darling," she breathed. "Please join Bill and me in the swapping bit. We can have oh, so much fun!"
Bonnie shook her head dazedly. "Gee, I don't know." She squiggled around under Kim's probing fingers which were fondling her pussy. It felt good. Impulsively she slid her fingers along Kim's inner thighs and poked up under Kim's bikini bottom. This seemed like fun. She'd never done such a thing before to another girl. Heat waves swept through her. She giggled.
"Not only will you have other men making love to you, darling," whispered Kim, "but we'll have a chance to get to really know each other ... intimately." She drew Bonnie close.
"I ... I..." Bonnie's words were cut off by an interruption-the sudden appearance of two men barging into the room.
Bill said loudly, "Here they are!" If he was surprised by the sight of the two lovelies nestling together he gave no evidence of it.
The other member of the duo, Pete, was surprised. He was amazed. He was shocked. He stared in open-mouthed, gaping awe at the two girls wrapped up in each other on the bed. He found his voice. "Bonnie! What the hell! What're you two doing?" He frowned severely at his wife.
Bonnie quickly disengaged herself from Kim. She withdrew her fingers from under Kim's bikini bottom and sat up on the bed. Her face was deeply flushed. "We ... er ... that is ... Kim and I were having a girl talk!" The flush on her face deepened.
"Hah!" Pete sounded skeptical. "Seems like you were doing more than talking!" He glared suspiciously. "You been drinking?" He sniffed.
"I had a few." Bonnie decided to change the subject. The shock of Pete barging in was wearing off. She nodded toward the golf clubs they were carrying. "How come you're finished putting so soon?"
"We came over to see if you girls wanted to join us in the pool." Pete frowned and looked at her oddly. "But it looks like we interrupted something."
Bill was a handsome brown-haired, hazel-eyed t w e n t y f i v e y ear old. He was a hundred-and-ninety-pound hunk of maleness and had an impish gleam in his eyes. "We sure did." He poured a round of drinks and handed them out. "I've got a better idea than going swimming, gang."
Pete turned to him. "Oh?"
"I was thinking since Kim and Bonnie were having a bit of girl talk, it might be a good idea if we all sat down and had ourselves a bit of adult talk." He sat on the stool in front of Kim's vanity. "Sit down, Pete." He inclined his head toward the other chair in the bedroom.
"What're we going to talk about?" Pete slid into the chair and faced the girls.
With Bill and Pete facing the girls sitting on the bed, and the men being dressed only in swim trunks, and the girls in very brief bikinis, it made for an interesting discussion group.
Bill, since it was his suggestion, became the group leader. "I kind of think it might be a good idea to talk about what happened last Saturday at Art's party. I imagine you and Bonnie touched on that subject." He glanced at Kim.
Kim nodded. "We sure did." She flashed a smile at her husband.
"Good. We know what we're talking about." Bill chuckled. "You two characters zipped out of the place so fast, you missed out on all the fun."
"I didn't want to leave," Pete said.
"Well, I did!" Bonnie sniffed. "A swap party. Hah! The way that Mike and Joy acted ... ugh!" Bonnie cut loose with an expression of distaste. "It was ... disgraceful!"
Bill leaned back on the stool, a tight smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "Was it all that terrible, Bonnie?"
"I think it was," Bonnie snapped. "Both of 'em. On the floor. And their own mates looking on!"
"That's just the point, Bonnie." Bill leaned forward earnestly. "Their mates were looking on. Their mates approved of what they were doing. They were enjoying themselves. That's what swapping's all about."
"I still think it's wrong!" Bonnie stuck to her guns.
Bill turned to Pete. "How 'bout you, Pete? You think it's so terrible? You think it's so wrong?"
"Gee, I'm not sure..." Pete was hesitant.
"As long as both the wives and husbands are there watching? As long as the wives and husbands are giving assent? What's really wrong with that?" Bill argued.
"I guess if you put it that way." Pete shrugged his shoulders.
Bonnie preened. Then, seeing all eyes turned toward her, she said weakly, "I still think it's wrong, even if the couples are consenting."
Bill rose and pulled Kim to his side. He slid an arm about her waist. "I guess you two know by now that Kim and I do a bit of swapping."
Pete and Bonnie nodded.
"We first tried it a couple of years ago. We found ourselves getting bored with living the way we were. like too close to each other. You might say we were consuming each other with love. Right, dear?"
Kim nodded and nuzzled closer to Bill.
"One night we took the big step. We'd had a big argument about something I did. We decided to see if swapping could bring us together and keep us together. Well, to make a long story short-it did! I think we love each other as much now, or maybe even more, than we ever did."
"What's all this leading up to?" Bonnie cast a suspicious glance at him.
"I'm suggesting you and Pete give swapping a try."
Bonnie shook her head.
Pete appeared interested. "How? Another party at Art's?"
Bill shook his head. "Why wait?" He cleared his throat and eased Kim forward. "Pete, ole buddy," he said, "how would you like to screw Kim now?"
