Foreword

Divorce. An ever growing American problem which seems to have no easy solution. The causes for divorce are infinite, the consequences sometimes disastrous for the individuals concerned.

But what must be considered one of the most prevalent causes for the break-up of a marriage is sexual incompatibility, real or imagined.

The story of Betty and Jim Harris is one of a young woman whose upbringing will not allow her to accept the fact that she needs and enjoys sex, and of a man who is driven to other women because of his wife's lack of sexual response. The result is a mutual desire for divorce.

Betty, however, soon comes to face the truth, that she is, indeed, a warm and sensuous woman, capable of giving as well as receiving love. But is it too late to save her marriage? Has the realization of her true nature, and her subsequent journey into the heretofore forbidden world of sex, turned her into a shameless wanton?

A serious novel which lays open the lives of one couple teetering on the brink of divorce, providing an insight for all concerned.
